From courage, she began.
Caring for women began as a service when I was 7 years old, and printed a pricing sheet walking my neighborhood in South Holland, IL., to provide manicures and pedicures to whomever would open their door.
Later, with a decade of experience as a fashion designer— creating looks that were reversible, detachable, or from recycled fabrics, Detach Sustain Reverse (DSR) was born after graduating from Howard University.
Pulling inspiration from the Creators creation such as the Antelope Canyon; a breathtaking natural wonder formed from centuries of flooding and erosion—what many would see as a disaster shaped into beauty.
Each piece in the collection tells that story—crafted from recycled and modular elements, it embodies the journey from unwanted fabrics or garments to beauty. The detachable components symbolize how we can rebuild and transform, even from the hardest circumstances. Just as the Antelope Canyon became a masterpiece shaped by hardship, so too can your story become one of hope and restoration.
Sustainability doesn’t have to be boring, or a trend to be timeless and trendy. As we grow, lets grow together!
